Women Mountain Biking

It has always been said that women are the weaker sex. Looking into all aspects, all the women would agree that belief is debatable because more than ever more and more women have proven a lie out of that clich. Gone are the days when men dominate in almost anything that requires physical strength and mental toughness. Women have succeeded in proving their worth to claim their rightful place in th world of extreme sports and that includes mountain biking.

Since the introduction
of mountain biking and when women learn to pedal exceptionally well as the men do, women mountain biking is no longer a big deal. Just like any other sports that might put women in great danger women mountain biking is also seen as a sport that might affect women's health in the long run.

One issue of women mountain biking is the concern on their reproductive health. There is no doubt that women mountain biking will expose women the same amount of danger that men are exposed to as far as reproductive health is concerned. Studies shows that men are in great risk of getting scrotum problems when they are exposed to rough mountain biking. One of the problems cited is the development of masses that could either be malignant or benign. But just the same men's reproductive health are at stake. In the same vein, women are also in great risk with mountain biking. Just like men, women's reproductive health is also vulnerable to the risk. One of the common effects of women mountain biking is the premature rupturing of the hymen.

Despite the obvious effects on their reproductive health, there are still plenty of women who dared take th risk. More and more women are now taking the trails and tracks on their mountain bikes. With the ever increasing of women's consciousness about mountain biking, women's mountain biking groups have been organized to cater to women mountain bikers' health and safety.

One of the leading organizations of women who are into mountain biking is the Women's Mountain Bikes and Tea Society or WOMBATS. This organization has been put up by women who share the same fondness and the thrill of mountain biking. The group is open to all women regardless of their age or belief. For as long as she believes on the essence of mountain biking any woman is welcome to join the group.

To say that women is the weaker sex is a big myth and to say that women mountain biking is making waves is a big truth. Seeing women pedaling mountain bikes on dirt roads only proves that they are not the weaker sex.
